I’ve spent a lot of time evading the next part of my “Start Where You Are” series (which I still haven’t transferred to my new blog *sigh*).
Thank you for your answers to the question that constitutes this new task of SWYA. I really appreciated every single comment and found them very helpful!
So:
What gives me light?
I want to understand this question in a spiritual way. I want to answer with something that gives me hope and strength and courage.
Unfortunately, I can’t.
So what gives me light?
The string of Moroccan lights over my beanbag. The Turkish pumpkin lamp on my bookshelf. The seaweed candle holder on the other bookshelf. The little indoor fireplace made of glass and stones in the living room.
Where am I looking for light?
On walks. When I’m cuddling my cats. On Talkspace (the online therapy I’m doing). With this series of posts. Reading Brené Brown’s “Rising Strong” (highly recommended). When I’m baking scones. With the Unitarian Universalists of “Quest for Meaning” and their offers for worship and meditation. Reading. A lot. Even comments. (Sometimes I get lucky.) In my dreams. In bubble baths. In music. In writing.
I’m trying.
I really am.
