Spring has not quite sprung…

…but it has begun.

Seasonably cold weather has kept the raised beds frozen, so I can’t sow anything there yet. But I’ve cut back the remaining buddleia today (who definitely feels spring is just around the corner). And I’ve prepped a greenhouse covering for the raised beds so I can start with sowing the first salads and carrots and radishes as soon as temperatures and the moon and the stars allow. (While I can’t say I believe in gardening according to the lunar calendar, I’m trying that method since some of the best garden bloggers and vloggers I’ve looked at swear by that method.)

Tomorrow is the big carnival parade, and my mother-in-law is coming over. It will be fun, but omg, I’m already tired…
